Refund Policy
1. All Sales are Final
At Northbound Tours, we uphold a commitment to fairness and transparency in all our dealings. We value the trust our customers place in us, and we believe it is important to outline our refund policy clearly.
2. Refund Eligibility
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, necessitating a refund request. To be eligible for a refund, such requests must meet the following criteria:
a. Request Submission: All refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@northboundtours.com no less than 48 hours before the trip departs. All cancellations will be subject to a 20% fee to cover administration & marketing costs - this is at our decision and on a case by case basis. Some trips require us to pay operators fees ahead of time so cancellations are case by case.
b. Timely Requests: Refund requests falling within the 48 hours before departure are subject to no refund.
3. Rebooking Option
If you wish to reschedule your tour for a future date, we offer a rebooking option. Please note the following conditions:
a. Advance Notice: Rebooking requests must be made with a minimum of 1 weeks notice before the originally scheduled trip.
b. Discretionary Application: The application of the rebooking option is at the sole discretion of Northbound Tours. We reserve the right to determine whether this option can be applied based on various factors, including our contractual agreements with service providers.
4. Rationale
We believe it is important to clarify the reasoning behind our refund policy and the application of the rebooking fee. In cases where we have made advance bookings with service providers for specific activities, and those providers do not offer us refunds for cancellations, it would be unjust for us to incur the cost of refunds without a valid reason. Our aim is to maintain a fair and sustainable approach to managing cancellations and rescheduling requests.

Also, in the event where a refund is requested, we would have lost out on the ability to sell the ticket should the trip be sold out. We would lose momentum, adding admin to try and resell the ticket - therefore, we would be at a loss, which would not be fair given our all sales are final terms are clearly stated.
5. Refunds
In the circumstance where we are able to do a refund, we will notify you. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. While we may release the funds, we do not control how the banks deposit them. That information would be gathered from your bank.

Where we can do refunds, there will be a small deduction to cover the costs of payment processing, admin time and marketing spend to resell the seat. This will be communicated through email before we process anything and we will only proceed with your approval.
6. Future trip Credit
We may decide that a future trip credit is the best option given the timing and scenario. We understand that not all scenarios are the same and will do our best to be reasonable. In some cases, a future credit will be issued, at the decision of management.
