This tour departs from Toronto (Yorkdale mall). Join us as we head North to Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve to learn a way to build an Igloo in South Ontario. Education is the main station here where you'll learn the trick for crafting an igloo using an ice box which is a special tool for constructing. Local Haliburton guides will take us through the forest on snow shoes to base camp where we'll get building.
At base camp, there are a few igloos that have already been constructed. Here, you'll have free time to either build, snow shoe the many forested trails, visit the wolf centre (800m walk and additional cost), eat at the smokehouse, build a fire, drink hot chocolate, take pictures with an igloo, or generally goof around.
On the way home, we'll make a stop at an onroute to use the washroom and get some energy.
This tour will take place in our 15 passenger customized transit. Onboard we have a TV, basic WIFI, Games Console, Karaoke and more! However there is not a washroom. We will make washroom breaks every 1-2 hours.
